ShyGuy is a New Mexico‑based rock power trio comprising “Fast Eddie” (Eddie Benlein - guitar/lead vocals), “Mindy Mayhem” (Mindy Hoerter - bass/backup vocals), and “Joey Noise” (Joey Floridia - drums/backup vocals).

Formed in May 2023, the band began as a creative passion project between Eddie and Mindy, a romantic couple whose musical chemistry naturally evolved into a full‑fledged rock outfit. Wanting to build something bigger than the two of them, they brought in their longtime friend and then metal/horror punk bandmate Joey to complete the lineup and lock in the trio’s signature sound.

Born in a Southwest garage and shaped by countless sweaty jam sessions, ShyGuy quickly carved out a sonic identity defined by ferocious rhythm, pounding drums, intricate basslines, and heavily distorted guitar. Their music pulls from decades of rock influence - grunge grit, punk urgency, and classic rock swagger - blending into a high‑energy style that feels both nostalgic and new.

ShyGuy played their first gig in May 2024 and has since become known for raw, loud, unapologetically DIY performances. Onstage, the trio’s chemistry is unmistakable: Eddie and Mindy’s connection drives the emotional core of the band, while Joey’s explosive metal-backed drumming anchors the chaos with precision and power. Their shows are fast, gritty, and full of personality - the kind of sets that feel like they could only come from a band built on genuine friendship, partnership, and shared obsession with heavy, honest rock music.

As the project continues to grow, ShyGuy is focused on expanding beyond their local scene. The band is currently writing new material, tightening their live show, and preparing for future touring throughout the Southwest and West Coast. Their long‑term goals include releasing a full‑length record, playing regional and national festivals, and connecting with rock communities across the country.

With a garage‑born spirit, a tight three‑piece lineup, and a commitment to pushing their sound further every year, ShyGuy is ready to bring their brand of grunge‑punk‑rock to the world - and to anyone who’s ready for a set that hits hard, feels real, and leaves a mark.
